Dark Specialty Coffee Shop is a third wave cafe that offers authentic blends and from different parts of the country and of the the world.

The design and the entire concept of the shop, which required a special approval from SM Supermalls, combines the rustic and modern elements that reflect the darkness of coffee both in flavor and in appearance.

These elements are made possible by a combination of carefully chosen materials from international and local suppliers.

The space may look very simple and straightforward but behind it was planning which ultimately required intense coordination and effort.

The secret behind Dark's design is in the smallest of details. Every inch of the coffeeshop was painstakingly planned to fit in the requirements of a typical cafe within a 40 square meter of floor space.

The counter and the serving area was filled with hidden storage spaces which were useful to the baristas.

Display areas for merchandise were scattered under the counter and feature walls, providing not only store but also showcases.

The menu board, which is made with plain pinewood, does not only serve utility but also aesthetics. While it is a total deviation from modern cafes which uses LED screens and projections, it undeniably ups the antics in giving the shop that "third-wave look."

Overall, it is a hangout place that is worth a sip.
